on an older designed 200tdi....mineral....but that's just my opinion..!!

10/40 semi synthetic, (I use milllers and have a good stock if you want to buy some)

another vote for semi synth, used it in mine for past 30k miles and the oil seems to come out cleaner than when i ran it on mineral.
