Installation of Plasma rope to winch drum
Hi all
Can anyone help me with instructions to install a plasma rope. I am not sure how the crimp with the hole in attaches to the drum.

You have an 8274 if I remember correctly ?
If so, you don't use the crimp, just feed the end of the rope through the hole in the drum and either tie a knot in it or use a cable tie to form it into a loop, a lot easier to take the rope off again !. (there shouldn't be any real load on it anyway).
If you're using a different winch then the crimp goes onto a bolt in the side of the drum flange.

Thanks for the advice, thought i'd better check before altering the rope to fit especially after parting with lots of£££££ notes.
