Starter motor repairs in Harrogate?

Postby Alex » Fri Oct 28, 2011 6:46 pm

Hi all,

The starter on the Golf decided it had enough of trying to start the car (it's been difficult recently), and I tracked it down to a broken copper link between the solenoid and the starter body.

If I take the starter off the car, is there anywhere in Harrogate that can fix it for me? Needs to be local as I won't have another car after this weekend...

Thanks Jim.

Richard came to the rescue with the biggest soldering iron I've ever seen, and a length of twin and earth, now it's as good as new!

Well as good as it was this time last week anyway!

Can thoroughly recommend Lenton & Smithson, every town needs a place like them.

They also do diesel injector testing/refurb and I think diesel injector pumps.
