PROJECT AUTO
Picked the 90 up this morning.
Got some photos but left the camera lead at work.
All very nearly done but a few problems to iron out so after getting used tomorrow its off back next week as no doubt other teething issues will appear.
The rear diff is growling a bit too much on over run. So new one will go in next week.
Auto box kick down is not just right yet and needs adjusting
Exhaust is not in its final position yet.
Spare wheel monut not yet done.
But appart from that all is OK, so far tomorrow will tell.
Cheers

Been out today with Matthew, DaveW and Kevin to test run the 90.
Apart form growling rear diff, underfueling, leaking ARB and a few other niggles it ran very well.
Now back with Robin to sort out the above and finish a few other jobs off.
All in i'm very happy with what Robin has built, a good base to mod on when funds allow but for now it will do.
Even got to test out Matthews old 8274 as it needed a little winch to get up a severely rutted deadmans hill in the dales (only matthew got up on Simex and both lockers, Dave winched to him, I winched to Dave and Dave then dropped back to winch up Kevin).
What was more annoying is that there are very few lanes still open in the dales. Allthose we went on today had an awfull lot of 'off piste' damage. What is the matter with people, if this continues then it is likely that more lanes will be shut. It is no wonder every rambler we came accross just scowled and did not respond to our greetings. Rant over.
A good day and a good test apart from that

Been struggling with the 90 being a bit wheezy and lacking power since it was finished. Played with fuel etc got it better but still not good.
Anyway thought I would let someone else have a look and it was found that a clip on the wastegate was broken and so all boost was being 'dumped'. A few pence later problem solved.
She now goes very very well. Tango and little red chevy you'll not ecsape me now

With aspirations of the Muddy Truckers in March the 90 is undergoing a few more changes.
1. Front ARB ordered.
2. ARB compressor to move.
3. Exhaust to re-route over the chassis.
4. Ashcroft CVs and shafts ordered for the front axle.
5. Ground anchor found need to mount somewhere.
After sorting that lot I need to do some overtime to pay the bills.
If money will allow(none left at present ) then rear winch is on the cards, see how we go.
Will post some up-dates as we go.
Proposed team mate in the IOM is well on with his V8 90 tray back and so the pressure is on me to keep up.
