Tecnick's new Ninety
Just spent all afternoon fitting only one rock slider to the 90. a one/two hour job The problem was, as with fitting the front bumper, that the tubluar outriggers are full of galv snot from the galvernising process. I guess if you buy a posh one from Richards or whoever they clean it out for you, mine is a dipped original.
I have wobbled a 10mm reamer down it and destroyed a set of drum sanding belts and the arbour in the process of trying to clean it out. I have had to make an extension bar in order to get the sanding drum further down tube.
Managed to get one on in the end using LR no1 Hammer. Secong one needs more work. I wonder how the Pros do it.
Just had a couple of cans of Scrumpy so sorry for Forum Rants
Cheers Nick

If it ain't broke, I'd be bloody suprised.
A big thankyou to Nigel for the invaluable help on the re-bushing jobs today, we managed the radius and trailing arms without the aid of a press. We did however, as advised buy all the bolts required, and a good job too.
Superpro bushes seem.... well....super, they went in well with help from the trusty vice.
Just got the rest to do but not just yet, I need to stop my limbs aching.
Cheers Nick

Latest mod: a pair of van seats permanently facing backwards for kids so that their legs dont get entangled with the vehicle controls. They are a bit tall for the likes of Nigel but are ok for the average adult. In the future, as the kids grow a new box section frame built inwards of wheel arches would mean a lower mounting position but for now they are good. Total cost £60, most unreasonable cost £8 for 8xM8 bolts from B and Q robbin g**s

Finally a new round of overdue maintenance.
Radiator
Water Pump
Alternator
Starter Motor
New hoses
Air/oil/fuel service items
Currently all stripped off waiting to be replaced.
I also bought a P gasket but have yet to figure out where it goes
In addition to this work Matthew has also renovated some doors, so they can be hung soon along with a new back door (oo er mrs)
I am also plucking up the courage to spend some big bucks on a cage.
Next question is.....if I paint it, what colour.... answers on a post card!
