D2 "Powered by fairydust II"
D2 "Powered by fairydust II"
Had D2 a while now but only just gotten around to doing anything major with it. Obviously been hanging around with Phil too long! Anyway all brakes are done and 2" lift fitted.
Top tip for anyone doing a lift on rear, the std ABS wire is a bit in the tight side so rather than dicking about cutting and soldering as recommended on some other forums, just fit front sensors on the back.
I had ordered a new hub as there was considerable play in the old one. This is the worst one I have ever seen!!! Bearing completely gone and disk was running on caliper and carrier.
Spot the difference.

Looks good Bo, are you bringing it to Helmsley?
Nothing is impossible with the right attitude and a big hammer.
Re: D2 "Powered by fairydust II"
Might not be ready for Helmsley but old faithful has just gone through MOT again so builders allowing (major house mods again!!) I'll be there in one or the other.
I removed the intercooler last night to fit an upgraded unit as it looks like someone has been using the old one to carry out controlled explosions. I know they are weak but this one is blown up like a balloon.

Just managed to get a couple of hours this morning in between showers and chores and finished fitting upgraded intercooler and radiator. The old pair have definitely seen better days.
Rear lights and MOT next I think.
