WRT paint - I have some very classy surplus 'Bronze Green' in the shed that I have been saving to paint the whole car one day.
Had it 7 years now and it is still brilliant stuff, I painted the front of my trailer with it last month, and it sticks like sheet to a blanket - even on top of wiped-down oiliness... :0

I THINK it was called Warwick Green and was only available for a couple of years (79-81). It was called other things too but most of those names weren't particularly complimentary.
I don't think it was a particularly common/popular colour, which to my mind makes it more appealing than the ubiquitous boring bronze green.
