Re: Dashboard Guages
IMHO, oil pressure and volts gauges are spot on.

Ere y'go. As I said - not optimised in any way, but appears to work, and doesn't pink. err - can't do it, it says that the extension mjlj is not allowed (same if I change them t .txt) so here they are as text - paste them into notpad then save with an mjlj extension. GAS: cylinders=8 mapBins=10,20,3...

thanks for the respones , does the zenner voltage matter or will anything above 12v be ok. The zener rated voltage needs to be just a bit higher than the normal voltage could ever reach so in theory 15v should do it, but to allow for tolerances etc I chose an 18 volt unit. There is no need for any ...

I think Roger is away somewhere, I would think he'd be the best person to get maps from. Not sure if you would want my maps - they are not at all optimised, but I will post them tonight and you can use them as a start point if you like. WRT setting the system up, most things are obvious, but there ...

C-C-C-COLD!!!
Even with the fabled V8's ability to produce excess heat, I have been feeling the cold a bit recently in the RRC, so I decided to insulate it. I used two camping-mats and some double-sided tape, and after 5 miles it's like a sauna! A lot quieter too :) I got the mats from that Class Ollsen (or whate...

Re: I was actualy getting to like my Landy
Wassupwiyaman? Don't you LIKE buying tools then? Nothing pleases me more than finding an excuse to buy a new tool - especially if it's a really big spanner :) Re the drop arm nut, you realise that even if you remove it you might not be able to remove the drop-arm? If you just need to change the drop...

Mark, honestly you are better off using the starter motor to undo the bolt as there is a lot less chance of doing any damage to the motor or you. . Flying tommy-bars Batman! I just used my air gun and patience. Each time I ran the gun until the compressor started then waited and let it recover. The...

Re: First thing i would do
First thing i would do is diconnect the alternator and do a short ride and see if the problems go away I don't like the sound of this... I don't know why, but the thought of spinning up an alternator without it connected to a load makes me uneasy. Have you eliminated general earthing and wiring pro...

Re: Alternator
Tis many years since I stripped an alternator, but they certainly are not rocket science - strip it, clean it, check it and - if it looks ok, reassemble it. In all probability it will then be fine.. A couple of hours work and you may save yourself £70

I wouldn't recommend just drilling holes in the cross member and bolting on the nato, you need to make sure there are tubes in side to prevent it crushing eitherwhen you tighten it up or when you make a recovery, both of which will compromise safety. Some people also weld huge thick spreader plates...

If you need a seal kit and pistons then I would strongly advise going for the new callipers - from personal experience my opinion is that replacing the seals (or more correctly the seal-retainers) is just not worth the effort.

Re: Also while out with the camera
Also to my surprise I am starting to like the bucket seats now I .... Nah mate - you don't want those - what you need is a nice pair of pre-softened Range Rover seats like mine! Tell you what I'll do you a favour and swap you - can't say fairer than that now, can I? Suggestions on harnesses please,...
