Bettery unless you have something draining the power out of it. If you're getting 14v at the battery when it's running the alternator is probably OK. Once you've jump started it and run it for a while, can you turn it off and restart it straight away or is it dead again ? If the battery is OK in the...

Tubes are OK if you want to run low pressures because they help keep the tyre on the rim but if you do run low pressures it's not unusual to get a puncture from the grit that gets past the bead and sits between the tyre and the tube. I have used tubes in the past but run tubeless only now and just r...

If it can wait, I should have two spare 10 spline diffs available in a few weeks, they're in Pam's motor at the moment. Just waiting for the ARBs that were in mine to come back from Crown Diffs. If you want to go down the re-con route I can recommend Crown Differentials, they do a really good job bu...

The simple fix is to buy some relocation cones and bolt them on. Alternatively you could make some for the bottom of the spring by replacing the retainer plate with a 3 sided pyramid of angle iron or bar and fixing the top of the spring by making retainer bar. Relocation cones are cheap enough, thes...

I've not really noticed any difference, although the tyres are nominally 30 mm wider at the tread I think the tyre diameter makes more of a difference than the tread width. The larger contact patch should, theoretically give more traction although, again, I have to say I've not noticed any real diff...

I was in the same position when I changed over. There is a huge variation in the rolling diameter of tyres marked as 235/85, especially with remoulds. You can expect a 235/85 to come in at anything between 30 inch and 32 inch diameter depending on the make. With some makes you can even get that much...

I use Marix Puma in 265/75 which is pretty much the same diameter as 235/85 - certainly as close as you'll get with another brand 235/85 which will be different diameter to your Machos anyway. Until I got a puncture in one of the Marix I was using a 235/85 Mach as a spare. http://www.newlifetyresonl...

The Ah rating is a guide to the batteries capacity to hold charge under it's best conditions (temperature, current draw etc...) In theory a 110Ah battery can supply 1 amp for 110 hours or 110 amps for 1 hour. In practice though the rating is, at best, a guide. Leisure batteries tend to be better at ...
