2" lift
Hi all, I am soon to carry out a two inch lift on my 90. Firstly, is an adjustable panhard rod necessary or recommended as I have heard various schools of thought on this. A two inch lift results in the necessity of a 5mm longer rod (I have been told) or your tracking will be out (crabbing). Secondl...

Hi Nick, You may be right mate as I normally drive the 300tdi defenders and have never had to wait for the heater plugs. Not too familiar with the 200tdi even though it is essentially the same engine. Didn't have time to diagnose the fault once it had occured as I had to leave the country again but ...

Heater / Glow plugs
Hi all, I noticed that my 200TDi 90 didn't want to start a little while ago. It had started perfectly when the temperature outside was warm but when it snowed it was a different story. It started eventually but it made me think that the heater plugs were not working. Is the relay the likely cause or...

Thanks Sara, Might just take up the offer of co-driver till I see what it's all about. Hi Graeme, Have already bought the spacers so I'll have to try them now. Just didn't like the idea of tyres touching radius. Thanks for letting me know that it is a common size for the 90. Can't wait to see how us...

Hi Pam, Thankyou very much for that post...very reassuring. I have done a lot of driving offroad (16 years driving landrovers for the Army) however, this has always been done with route selection in mind. It doesn't pay to try to be too bold when you are on your own in the middle of no-where at nigh...

Hi Sara, Thanks a lot for letting me know. I did read that post by hubby and if/when I do start trialling I will take them off. At the moment the tyres slightly touch the front radius arms on full lock. I will need to get some more experience before I start trialling so they should be fine for green...

At last!
Hi all! Don't know if this picture will come out. Basically, I scoured the autotrader web site for 4 months while I saved up the last of the money I needed to try and buy a semi decent one which I purchased a month ago. My surface ceiling for this purchase was £5000 but that left me little to play w...

Hi Paul, Sorry mate, don't have the facility to look up vehicles that have left the service, just ones that are in service. It was more out of curiosity. KJ plates covered mainly 2.5 n/a diesel defenders with the army and a few V8's from the RAF. I'm not an expert though and to be honest, the forces...

Hi all, My name is Gaz Taylor. I have applied by post to join the YORC and sent my cheque off but as I am currently out of the country until May 20th, I'm not sure if my application has been processed. I have just bought my first 200tdi 90 after saving for a good while. I previously owned an old ran...
