Description

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Covid-19 additional measures need to be taken to ensure that all competitors and officials are signed on prior to the event. In addition to entering the event you will need to complete a declaration for yourself and any passenger.

Event Type

This is a trials competition run for road going vehicles and is intended to be none damaging (RTV Trial). As with all our trials you should be able to drive to the trial, compete and drive home again afterwards. Mentoring can be provided for novice competitors on request and you will have the chance to walk each section and novices will get to see other vehicles drive it first. Further information on the types of event we run and vehicle requirements are available here…
Trial Information…
Scrutineering starts at 9.00am, closing at 10am with the trial starting by 10.30am, please see the directions for location information.
This site is probably the least forgiving of the sites we use. Although care is taken to avoid running sections through damaging routes, the heavily wooded nature of the site means that a mistake from the driver or driving off the intended route may result in bodywork damage.
This event is being run under an MSA permit. Full SR’s for the event can be supplied on request. An extract of the most relevant parts is given below. You will need to be a member of the YORC or an invited club to take part, you must also have completed or be named on a declaration form (COVID requirement). You will also need a Motorsport UK license, available for free from here…

  • The passenger shall be properly seated, the seat backs shall be upright and the seats adequately fixed. All occupants must wear an approved seat belt at all times. No passenger to be carried in the rear of the vehicle.

The simplest way to find the site is from the Ferrybridge Services off the M62 (Jct 33). From the roundabout the services are on take the northbound exit onto the old A1, follow the old A1 north until it changes to a single carriageway, the site is on the right shortly after that point.

From the north you can exit the A1(M) at Jct 42, turn right at the first roundabout at the end of the sliproad, straight on at the second roundabout, left at the third and that brings you onto the old A1. Once you cross over the A1(M), go straight on at the next three roundabouts and the site will be next on your left, if you miss it and get onto the dual carriageway you’ll need to go all the way to Ferrybridge Services to turn around.
